Dresser Drawer Knobs

Installing dresser drawer knobs is a simple process. Grab a screwdriver first. Then open your drawer and find the screw that came with your knob. Place the screwdriver into the screw on one side of the drawer and the screw in the other. Rotate the screw clockwise until it fits snug in the knob. Finally, ensure the knob is positioned the right way on the front of the drawer per your preference!

Open your drawer and measure the full length and the full width. Divide the length and width by two to get the mid point of the drawer. Measure that distance and mark it with a pencil so it can be erased if need be. That spot is going to be the most symmetrical and widely accepted placements for your knob. It also is quite easy to do and then install the knob.

If the screw is stripped and the knob is rotating freely then you need to find another screw for your knob. First hold your large drawer knob tight and unscrew the screw from the back of the knob while holding the knob tight. This helps prevent further stripping of the screw. Then take your knob into the nearest ace hardware or reach back out to the manufacturer of your knob and request a new screw. Once you have that screw it in the same place it was originally and it should be good as new.

You could make a mold and fill it with apoxy, resin, or metal to create a new knob. This process is typically costly due to the price of molds. You could 3D print a knob which is affordable and quick but requires software expertise and results in less than durable knobs.
